Gabin Jabba is one of the biggest attractions and among the beautiful places of Swat. The tourists have been coming here in large numbers for the past few years.
Gabin Jabba is a “Pashto” word that means honey marshes. Honey bees are in vast numbers here, and the honey of this area is quite popular all over the province. Researchers also have carried out some experiments on medicinal plants found in the Gabeen Jabba area.
The area is filled with green meadows, forests, snow-covered mountains, mineral springs, and high hills. The region of Gabeen Jabba is linked closely with the village of Lalko, which is situated to the north of the area and serves as a gateway to the meadows. It is the first settlement met on the way to Gabin Jabba, from where it can be reached through a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

How to Reach Gabin Jabba
The roads are all built and well-maintained. There are two routes to Gabin Jabba from Mingora City. One way is through Manglor’s side, and the other is from Matta Road. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the meadows from the parking.
One can hire a jeep or mule to reach the top. I came here with my wife and kid, and we decided to hike on our feet, and it was a fantastic experience. It took us 35 minutes from parking to reach the central spot of Gabin Jabba.
Gabeen Jabba also hosts a base camp of a trail that leads to the alpine glacial lakes of Daral and Saidgai. It takes two days to reach Daral Lake from Gabin Jabba.
The shepherds came here from June to August and went back in winter. There are a lot of forests in the surrounding Gabin Jabba. The precious wood trees of Swat are also among them. Now camping pods are also installed here after the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan. A snow festival is organized here in winter.
Best Time to Visit
The area is full of greenery and springs in the summer, and if you are visiting here in the winter season, you can get the best place for skiing.

Located at a distance of 65 kilometers from Mingora, Gabin Jabba is at a height of 8471 feet from sea level.
